Lori A. Safar did her undergraduate work at St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minnesota and attended dental school at the University Of Minnesota School Of Dentistry.
After graduating dental school in 1988 she became a commissioned officering the United States Navy. She was first station in Memphis, TN. Just before Desert Storm (first Iraq war) started she was transferred to San Diego where she finished out her obligation
